Chef Dan's Southern Comfort has affordable gourmet food full of flavors from the Mississippi Delta and Louisiana Bayou. We started as a catering company, AlliCarte Catering, and expanded into a food truck. In February 2015, a restaurant will open in Historic Irvington.
Chef Daniel Carter was born and raised in Mississippi and attended culinary school in New Orleans. He has married these flavors in one stop shopping. Food Truck Menu items include catfish po'boy, shrimp po'boy, crawfish etouffee, mississippi bbq pulled pork, meatloaf, chicken tenders, mac n cheese, red beans and rice, sweet potato fries, banana puddin' bread puddin' and peach cobbler. The menu changes daily.
Chef Dan cooked for 60,000 of President Bush's closest friends at the 2004 Presidential Inauguration and the Indianapolis Colts while running the kitchen at the Indianapolis Convention Center. With experience overseeing fast paced kitchens at various casinos, country clubs and hotels, Chef Carter knows how to deliver high quality food for a large number of people, or just two special guests.
